My 8mo boyo has been with me for a month now and I sure feel conned. I thought i was bringing home a dog and instead got a ninja- lizard-goat hybrid with super intelligence. He has

recently come into his climbing and vaulting abilities. 5ft fences? Piece of cake. Jumping across hedges? Watch me do it thrice for good measure. Jumping over his annoyed big sister? Yay let's go!

This fallen tree was legit more than 4ft high and slippery from ice and frost but that didn't deter this part monitor lizard part ninja from landing on it with extreme precision. Look at his self satisfied smirk!

When did your male aussies stop growing? What is the right age to get them into agility work?

Side note - he is otherwise a very good boy (most of the time), a big cuddlebug and has my heart wrapped around his big paws. Best decision ever to have him join our family.

Fun_Wait1183 Oh, my my myyyyy!!!! This fills my heart with joy to hear about your first Aussie. And listen: this is puppyhood! Beyond being able to train him to do anything, he will communicate so clearly, so truthfully that he will share your heart and mind. Part of their natural herding skill is "Charm."

DelusionalPengui... Someone said between the ages of 6mo-2yrs the Aussie is essentially a fucking raptor and that's the most - true statement I've ever heard. Mine is 7 and will literally do flips off the wall at 9PM

skipscream Enjoy that handsome pup. Once you get an Aussie you won't consider owning any other breed. We're on our third one.

Intrepid_Hat_2397 Yep, mine loves to visually scale things, then he looks at me for permission. When gets the green light he's off like a jumping spider. The other day I tried the slide at the local park, here he came right behind me, totally knocked me off at the end, I laughed for hours.

rld999 I saw the signs but ignored them. When I went to the breeder to pick mine up as a puppy. The mother climbed up the 6' chain link fence to great us. She then climbed back up the fence to show us her pups! Did I mention she was a Toy Aussie!! Our pup is climbs just about anything and only sleeps on the top of the couch.

Weekly-Pickle-44... OMG! He is gorgeous! And he sounds like a really fun and interesting baby. Aussies conned most of us the first go round...lol! Having had GSDs and Aussies both, Aussies are definitely in a class to themselves. Keep us posted with antics and awesome pictures
